Alexandra

Medical Translator and Medical Writer · Founder of Villengua

Born and raised in Germany, I have lived in Spain since the age of 19 and am therefore thoroughly familiar with both languages and cultures. My degree in Translation and Interpreting and subsequent master’s degree in Software and Multimedia Translation have strengthened my ability to write precisely and adapt texts to different audiences and formats. Combined with the specialised training in medicine and medical writing outlined below, this background enables me to help you communicate complex medical information clearly and accurately in different languages.

Translation Studies.
University of Málaga: Degree in Translation and Interpreting (2009).
ISTRAD: Master’s degree in Software and Multimedia Translation (2016).

Medical writing mentoring with Allison Kirsop.

Alongside this ongoing professional development, I bring 16 years of experience in medical translation for clients in pharma, biotech, clinical research and healthcare market research. My work includes clinical trial documentation, summaries of product characteristics, medical device manuals, questionnaires and medical books such as Blood Works – An Owner’s Guide into German.

As a Medical Writer, I write and review medical texts in German and English, adapting them to different audiences and purposes. I also regularly welcome interns and guide them through their first professional experiences, introducing them to the processes and tools used in day-to-day work.

Traductora
